1. CSR activity to help the flood victims in Devigarh, Ghanaur, Samana in Punjab and
Mandi in Himachal
Under the CSR initiative of The Muthoot Group, Three Hundred dry ration kits & 1000 Mosquito nets were distributed to flood affected people at Devigarh, Ghanaur, Samana in Punjab and Mandi in Himachal Pradesh under Chandigarh Region.
The Distribution was done by Lt. Col. Surinder Sharma (Retd.), Regional Manage Chandigarh in the presence of Staff Members.
Around 3500 people in flood affected areas got benefited from the CSR initiative conducted by The Muthoot Group.
2. Dry Ration Kits and Milk Packets were distributed to flood affected people in Moonk,
Patran and Khanauri areas of Sangrur District, Punjab under Ludhiana Region
Under the CSR initiative of The Muthoot Group, three hundred ninety dry ration kits and milk packets were distributed to flood affected people in Moonk, Patran and Khanauri areas of Sangrur District, Punjab.
The distribution was done by the team lead by Lt. Col Ramandeep Singh Cheema, Regional Manager, RO Ludhiana with the support of other staff members and local volunteers.
This dry ration kits distribution would help 2500 poor and flood affected people in rural areas of Punjab.
3. Distribution of cooked food and ready-to-eat items to the flood affected people near Mayur Vihar Extension in New Delhi
Under the CSR initiative of The Muthoot Group, cooked food and ready-to-eat items were distributed to the flood affected people near Mayur Vihar Extension in New Delhi from 12th July 2023 to 14th July 2023.
Lunch and dinner along with ready-to-eat items were served to the flood affected people who took shelter under the flyover near Yamuna River, Mayur Vihar Extension, New Delhi with the help of Annamrita Foundation.
This distribution drive has provided cooked and ready-to-eat food to around 4,000 flood affected people in Delhi.
4. Muthoot Finance Builds and Handover 14 New Aashiyana Homes in Edavanakkad, Kochi
Muthoot Finance has successfully constructed and handed over the newest tranche of 14 houses under the CSR initiative of Muthoot Aashiyana Housing Project in the coastal suburb of Edavanakkad located in Kochi. In order to celebrate this milestone, the company had organized a key handover ceremony on May 22, 2023 at Edavanakkad, Ernakulam District. The ceremony was inaugurated by Shri. George Alexander Muthoot, Managing Director, Muthoot Finance. Shri. Hibi Eden, MP, Ernakulum was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Shri. George M George – Deputy Managing Director – Muthoot Finance distributed saplings to the beneficiary families spreading awareness on the importance of creating and nurturing a sustainable environment.
Smt. Aseena Abdul Salam – President Edavanakkad Grama Panchayat; Shri. TA Joseph – President, Edavanakkad Cooperative Bank; Shri. Iqbal, Vice President Edavanakkad Grama Panchayat; Shri. Babu John Malayil – CSR Head, Muthoot Finance; Shri. Ajas Ashraf – Ward Member, Edavanakkad Grama Panchayat were present during the occasion.
The beneficiary families were previously living in dilapidated homes that were damaged by prolonged exposure to sea swells and erosion. With the successful construction of 14 houses in Edavanakkad, the company has now touched a landmark of building and handing over 250 houses under the flagship CSR initiative of Muthoot Aashiyana. Muthoot Finance has earmarked 20 Crores for Edavanakkad Housing Complex involving 14 well-built sturdy homes. Muthoot Aashiyana rehabilitation initiative was instigated in the year 2018 for the flood victims of Kerala. Given the positive impact created by the Muthoot Aashiyana initiative, the company had scaled up the project further. The recently completed projects under the initiative are 20 houses in Rewari, Haryana, and 10 houses in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
2. Donation of 100 Winter Tents to Earthquake victims in Turkey where millions have been rendered homeless
Under the CSR Initiative of The Muthoot Group, 100 Winter Tents were donated to Turkish Embassy for use and benefit of people affected by devastating Earthquake in Turkey. This initiative will help almost 500 Adults and Children. Shri. Alexander George Muthoot, Joint Managing Director, The Muthoot Group donated the 100 Winter Tents in the presence of senior staff members of The Muthoot Group.
3. Dry Ration Kits Distribution to Flood Victims at Silchar, Guwahati, Assam
Under the CSR initiative of The Muthoot Group, 200 dry ration kits were distributed to the flood victims of Silchar, Guwhati, Assam. The distribution activity was conducted in branch premises in the presence of Mr. Mridul Saha, Officer Municipal Board, Siddharta Sankar Purkayastha, Branch Manager & Staff of Silchar branch.
4. Muthoot Aashiyana Project
Under the Muthoot Aashiyana project 200 houses were constructed for the victims of floods in Kerala. The construction of the houses were planned in the worst flood-affected areas such as Paravoor, Alwaye, Chengannoor, Aaranmula, Thiruvalla, Kozhencherry, Kuttanad, Kumarakom, Thodupuzha, Malapuram, Chellanam, Trichur, and Idukki. Muthoot M George Foundation, CSR wing of The Muthoot Group has handed over the first disaster resilient home to the flood-affected family of Rajeswary and Subramanian at a home dedication ceremony in Annamanada, Trichur, Kerala. 5. The Muthoot Group donates Rs.1.5 crores to Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund
Muthoot M George Foundation, the CSR division of The Muthoot Group has contributed Rs. 1.5 Crores for the relief and rehabilitation of the victims of Kerala Floods. Shri M. G. George Muthoot, Chairman, The Muthoot Group handed over a cheque of Rs.1.5 crores to Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan towards the Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund in the presence of Shri George Alexander Muthoot, MD and Shri George Jacob Muthoot, JMD, and other officials, during a function held at the Secretariat Trivandrum on 13th August 2018.

6. Assistance to Chennai Flood Victims
