MUTHOOT M GEORGE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS LAUNCHED IN ANDHRA PRADESH

    Muthoot M. George Foundation launched its Excellence Scholarships for 10th Standard toppers of Government Schools under the Educational Districts of Hyderabad & Secunderabad today.

    The launch event was inaugurated by Shri Mukesh Kumar Meena, I.A.S., Collector & District Magistrate of Hyderabad along with Mr. George M Alexander, Director, The Muthoot Group. The other officials present during this occasion include Mr. R.Venkateswaran, Zonal Manager, Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Babu John Malayil, AGM Corporate Communications, Muthoot Finance Ltd., Capt. Joseph and Shri. Laxman Rao, Sr. Regional Managers, Muthoot Finance Ltd., along with the winners of the Award, their parents, and School Headmasters.

    This scholarship will benefit students of 178 Government Schools and consists of a certificate and cash prize of Rs.2500/ each. This activity is the extension of the program already implemented in Kerala (200 government schools) and Karnataka (210 government Schools).
    Speaking on this occasion, I.A.S., Collector & District Magistrate of Hyderabad Shri Mukesh Kumar Meena said “I am happy to be a part of this event today. I am glad that an institution like Muthoot Group which has undertaken such an initiative, it truly, depicts their noble objective of doing good for the society, this scholarship program would encourage and motivate our Government school children to excel in their studies in a big way.”

    “Mr. George M. Alexander said “Our prime objective of giving these awards is to reach out and encourage the children from the deprived class, who constitute the main student population of Government Schools. We will remain duly committed towards our commitment to the community by coming up with various corporate social responsibility in the near future.”

    Muthoot M George Foundation is named after Late Shri M. George Muthoot, the Founder Chairman, of The Muthoot Group, and started its operations in the year 1993. The Foundation’s activities include support to the poor for their medical treatment, marriage of girls and education of children.
