As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Muthoot Finance distributed 100 school bags to underprivileged students of Howrah Hindi High School, Howrah, West Bengal, on 10th June 2026. The initiative was undertaken with the objective of supporting students from economically weaker sections and encouraging them to continue their education with confidence and dignity.
The distribution was done by Mr. Umesh Rai, Hon’ble Minister of Municipal Affairs & Urban Development, Government of West Bengal, along with Mr. Saikat Chatterjee, Assistant Regional Manager, Howrah Region in the presence of Mr. Chitresh Bhattacharya, Manager CSR, East Zone, Mr. Amit Shaw, Admin Executive, Howrah Region, Mr. Shiv Kumar Choumal, Head Teacher, other faculty members and students.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Umesh Rai appreciated Muthoot Finance for its continued commitment towards social welfare and educational empowerment. He personally distributed the school bags to the students and encouraged them to pursue their studies with dedication and determination for a brighter future.
Mr. Shiv Kumar Choumal, Head Teacher of the school, along with other teachers and school committee members, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Muthoot Finance for extending this meaningful support to the needy students. They acknowledged that such initiatives play a vital role in motivating students and reducing the financial burden on their families.
