As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Muthoot Finance distributed 74 hearing aid machines to hearing-impaired students of Raji Devi Welfare Trust, Dhenkanal, Odisha, on 27 June under its Muthoot Soundscape Project. The initiative aims to improve students’ hearing ability, communication skills, and overall quality of life.

The distribution drive was organized on the occasion of Helen Keller Day, celebrating the inspiring legacy of Helen Keller while reaffirming Muthoot Finance’s commitment to promoting inclusion, equal opportunities, and empowerment for persons with hearing impairments.

The programme was led by Mr. Jacob Mathew, Regional Manager, Bhubaneswar, with the active participation of Mr. Narendar K. Sahu, Branch Manager, Dhenkanal, along with Regional Office staff from the Administration and Insurance departments.

The event was graced by Mr. K. Bhera, Officer, Social Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, who attended as the Chief Guest. Mr. Deepak Sethi, Secretary-Director, Raji Devi Welfare Trust, along with other dignitaries, was also present on the occasion.

The initiative is designed to help students overcome communication barriers, enhance their educational experience, and participate more confidently in their daily lives. It reflects Muthoot Finance’s continued commitment to building a more inclusive and accessible society for children with special needs.

The students expressed immense joy and gratitude upon receiving the hearing aid machines, which are expected to make a significant difference in their academic and personal development.
