As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of Muthoot Finance, the Muthoot M. George Higher Education Scholarships 2025–26 (9th Edition) were distributed to 14 meritorious and deserving students pursuing MBBS and B.Tech courses on 11 July 2026 at the Howrah Regional Office.

The Muthoot M. George Higher Education Scholarship is a flagship CSR initiative of the Muthoot Group, aimed at supporting talented students from economically deserving backgrounds who are pursuing professional courses such as MBBS, B.Tech, and B.Sc. Nursing. The programme provides financial assistance not only at the beginning of a student’s academic journey but throughout the duration of the course, enabling students to pursue higher education with confidence.

As per the CSR Committee’s Approval for the academic year 2025–26, selected MBBS students receive scholarships of up to ₹60,000, while selected B.Tech students receive scholarships of up to ₹30,000.

This year, scholarship cheques were presented to 14 outstanding students who were selected based on their excellent performance in the Higher Secondary Examination. Among the recipients, 9 students are pursuing MBBS and 5 students are pursuing B.Tech, reflecting the programme’s continued commitment to promoting higher education among deserving youth.

The event was led by Mr. Sudhir Gupta, Regional Manager, Howrah Region, whose leadership ensured the successful execution of the programme. The occasion was attended by Regional Office staff from various departments, including Loan at Home, Vigilance, Audit, Administration, Human Resources, and MAPL, demonstrating Muthoot Finance’s collective commitment to social responsibility.

The scholarship recipients and their guardians expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Muthoot Finance for its continued support in helping deserving students achieves their educational aspirations.
