As part of its unwavering commitment to promoting sports and empowering talented youth through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Muthoot Finance extended financial assistance to Ms. Doly, a promising 16-year-old shooting athlete from Village Johri, Baghpat district, Uttar Pradesh.

Despite facing financial challenges, Doly has emerged as one of the country’s most promising young shooters. Her exceptional dedication and perseverance have earned her an impressive tally of 105 medals, including a Gold Medal in the 10-Meter Air Pistol event at the Uttar Pradesh State Shooting Championship. She has also been shortlisted as a prospective athlete for the 2028 Asian Games, reinforcing her potential to represent India at the international level.

Recognizing her outstanding achievements and future potential, Muthoot Finance approved financial assistance of ₹3.56 lakh to support her training and competitive journey. The assistance includes the procurement of a Swiss-made shooting pistol, one year of monthly training support, and other essential sporting requirements to help her excel in the discipline.

The financial assistance was formally presented by our respected Shri Alexander George Muthoot, Joint Managing Director, The Muthoot Group, in the presence of Mr. P. G. Mathew; Mr. Gigo Sebastian, General Manager – JMD Sir’s Office; Mr. Rakesh Mehra, General Manager – CSR; Mr. Upendra Sagar, Delhi Police Constable; Members of the CSR team; Officials from the JMD Sir’s Office; and other distinguished guests. During the ceremony, Ms. Doly received a cheque of ₹2,50,000 towards the procurement of her shooting pistol, a second instalment of ₹8,000 towards her monthly training expenses, and Muthoot-branded sports apparel, including a tracksuit, sports shoes, and other accessories. A MoU was also signed between Ms. Doly and Muthoot Finance, formalizing the Company’s commitment to supporting her athletic development.

During the interaction, JMD Sir personally congratulated Ms. Doly on her remarkable accomplishments and enquired about her training and future aspirations. Learning about the high cost of specialized shooting footwear, he announced additional personal support to provide her with professional shooting shoes, further encouraging her pursuit of sporting excellence.

Expressing her heartfelt gratitude, Ms. Doly thanked JMD Sir and Muthoot Finance for their generous support and encouragement. She shared that the assistance would significantly strengthen her training and competitive preparation and reaffirmed her commitment to bringing laurels to the nation through her future achievements.
