As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Muthoot Finance undertook a Cycle Distribution Initiative on March 27, 2026, in Badlapur, in collaboration with Anubhuti NGO. The initiative was aimed at supporting 50 Adivasi girl students from Classes 8th, 9th, and 10th who face significant challenges in commuting to school due to long distances, limited transportation options, and safety concerns.

Through this initiative, bicycles were distributed to enable safe, reliable, and dignified mobility for the students, thereby improving their access to education. By addressing a critical barrier to school attendance, the program seeks to reduce dropout rates, encourage regular attendance, and foster greater independence among young girls from tribal communities.

The distribution event was conducted in the presence of Mr. Aniruddha Ghadi, Branch Manager – Badlapur East; Mr. Anand Balankar, Branch Manager – Badlapur West; and Ms. Deepa Pawar, Founder of Anubhuti NGO, along with active participation from parents and community members. The strong community engagement reflected collective support towards promoting education for girls.

The initiative is expected to create a meaningful impact by reducing travel time and physical strain, improving safety during daily commutes, and enhancing students’ confidence and motivation to continue their education. In the long term, it aims to support sustained school attendance, open pathways for higher education, and contribute to a positive shift in community attitudes towards girls’ education.

The beneficiaries and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude to Muthoot Finance for this thoughtful intervention, acknowledging its role in easing daily challenges and enabling better educational opportunities.

This initiative reinforces Muthoot Finance’s commitment to promoting education, empowering the girl child, and supporting inclusive growth through impactful CSR interventions that address real community needs.
